Congratulations Maree Brusaschi. 2008 marks Maree's 50th year with Geelong Calisthenics College. Maree started as a pupil of the college with Mrs Beryl Jones in the Junior team and progressed to compete through to Seniors. Maree also performed Solo Graceful Girl competitions and was a Royal South Street Graceful Girl competitor. Maree's first coaching position was with a club in Belmont before taking over geelong Calisthenics as principal coach in 1976. Maree is still principal coach with Geelong today in 2008.
Maree is responsible for bringing many of the sections in the college to a division one level and is continuing to provide the highest degree of enthusiasm and committment to her students. Maree has not only been a coach, but also a committee member since 1976 and is now a life member. Maree is responsible for the making and design of many of the costumes presented today. Maree shares her love of this sport with her daughter and co-principal coach Donna Argent and her two grandaughters Talisha and Hayley, both pupils of the college.
As well as achieving outstanding success in results for the college, Maree is proud to see the girls that she has taught in the past bring their own daughters to the college. Maree is truly dedicated and committed to the continued success of Geelong Calisthenics College.
